Gravity Defied : From potato asteroids to magnetised neutron stars

Nehru Planetarium, Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, is organising a talk in the sky theater of the planetarium titled "Gravity Defied : From potato asteroids to magnetised neutron stars" by Dr. Sushan Konar, National Center for Radio Astrophysics, Pune. The talk will be held in the morning of the 21st of April 2017.

You may send 10-15 students from your school for participation, after registering for the same, by sending an e-mail to

Registrations close on the 18th of April or when the sky theater capacity is full, whichever is earlier.

The Program:

Reporting Time : 9:15 AM Viewing a planetarium show 9:30 - 10:30 AM Talk on "Gravity Defied" - 10:30 - 11:30 AM

The recorded lecture in dome format will be made available for viewing by students and others interested very shortly. In addition, dome masters of the recorded lectures will be made available which can be used by any planetarium with a digital projection system
