Full Moon.

 

April 17, 2007  New Moon.

 

April 22, 2007 Lyrid Meteor Shower It produces about 20 meteors per hour at their peak. This shower can be seen after midnight from April 16-25 in the constellation of Lyra. This shower will peak on April 22. Dark Sky Required.


April 26, 2007 Rho Leonis (4th magnitude star of Leo) will be occulted by Moon. This will not be visible from Delhi as the event will start in day time with rising Moon (around 2:15 pm)

Naked - Eye Planets 

Venus:    Through out the month it can be seen bright just above the horizon after sunset. On April 7, it will south of Pleiades, making a beautiful view through binocular.

 

Saturn: It will be visible near the nose of the LION (in the leo constellation) through out this month.

 

Jupiter: It will rise just hours before dawn, in Scorpius and moving slowly towards a Ophiuchus, faint constellation adjacent to Scorpius. 

 

Mars: It will rise one hour before sunrise in Aquarius.It will look like a 1 magnitude star in its characteristic red colour.

 

Mercury: It is too close to Sun right now and its very difficult to observe this mornig star from Delhi.
