up the longest in northern hemisphere, height of summers.
June 27, 2007 Meteor Shower, June Bootids. With the Moon absent from
the mornign sies, this could mean quite a number of meteors.
June 30, 2007 Full Moon.
Naked - Eye Planets
Venus: Through out the month it can be seen bright above the horizon after sunset. It is moving towards the Saturn in constellation of Leo from Gemini.
Saturn: It will be visible near the nose of the LION (in the leo constellation) through out this month.
Jupiter: It will rise around the sunset, in Scorpius and moving slowly towards Ophiuchus, faint constellation adjacent to Scorpius.
Mars: It will rise around 2 am in Pieces. It will look like a 1 magnitude star in its characteristic red colour.
Mercury:
One can enjoy the view of mercury early in the month very close to horizon.
