For some of these activities the cap on the total number of participants is 25-30. Schools bringing a small group of students to view the 11:30 AM show at the planetarium, can register for these activities.

The activities will be aimed towards facilitating knowledge about the night sky, conducting simple star count observations with the naked eyes for estimating light pollution levels, learning about meteor showers and observing lunar occultations. There will also be simple fun filled activities involving the Earth and the Sky. Most of these activities require prior registration. For some of these activities the cap on the total number of participants is 25-30. Schools bringing a small group of students to view the 11:30 AM show at the planetarium, can register for these activities.

Schools can avail concessional Full sky theatre booking at 9.30 a.m., 10.30 a.m, and 12.30 p.m. Duration of each show is about 35-40 minutes.

How to Book

The tickets for the planetarium shows are usually at Rs. 50/- per head. During the Children's fortnight, full sky theater can be booked at the highly concessional rate of Rs. 5000/- for 250 people. Payment can be made in cash, cheque or demand draft drawn in favour of NMML-Nehru Planetarium.
